Intelect was founded in 1997, it’s founders (all experienced engineers), aimed to provide clients with a service that is of high and exacting standards with consistent performance and attention to detail.
This can only be provided by highly-skilled and knowledgeable professionals, which you will find at Intelect, now one of the largest independent engineering contractors in the North East.

Intelect currently has three bases in Teesside, Humberside and Leicestershire, where they provide engineering services to some of the leading operators in the food processing, utilities, renewables and pharmaceuticals sectors.

They continue to be a market leader in the industry, and offer unrivaled levels of customer service with over 25 years of experience.

We are passionate about supporting and developing our award-winning workforce.
For over 25 years, apprenticeships and training have been at the heart of our workforce, and have been a catalyst for our growth. We continue to invest not only in our apprentices, but also our existing staff, who want to further their knowledge and experience, or maybe even want to start a new career pathway.

Over the years, we have been recognised with various awards and accolades which highlight our commitments to our workforce, and we are proud to be in England’s Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers, ranking 17th in 2022 and 27th in 2023.

As well as supporting our own workforce, we strive to inspire the next generation from the surrounding local areas in which we operate, offering work experience opportunities where we can, as well as working with important charities and initiatvies such as the High Tide Foundation, Power of Women and Spark Tees Valley.

Supporting the health and wellbeing of our employees.

At Intelect, we endeavour to support the health and wellbeing of our employees at all times. We understand that work can be a huge part of a person’s life, and therefore we want to ensure that every employee has access to the support they need, should it be required. Knowledge and awareness around this subject is key, which is why we also work with charities like The Headlight Project, who aim to reduce the number of deaths by suicide in the Tees Valley area through therapy of those bereaved by suicide and preventative education and training.

In 2023, we helped seven of our employees to become fully qualified Mental Health First Aiders, enabling them to spot the signs, understand, and help someone who may be suffering with mental health issues. The team meet bi-monthly to share best practice and to plan events and communications to share with colleagues, and they are also available to speak with condifentially via telephone, email and in person should any of our employees feel like they need help.
