How to become a Trustee

Teesside Hospice relies on the support of Trustees to give their time and expertise freely as volunteers. Their commitment and energy makes a direct difference to our organisation and everyone it helps.

Being a Trustee for Teesside Hospice allows you to changes lives for the better. It can be hard work; ultimately Trustees are responsible for the governance of the charity, for its property, finances and the employment of our staff and volunteers. But being a Trustee is also immensely rewarding, providing both expected and unexpected opportunities for personal development. 

We are lucky to have a variety of Trustees with different backgrounds that bring their own skills and energy to overseeing the governance of our charity. As a team they help to plan the strategic future of the hospice and make policy decisions. They also ensure Teesside Hospice is accountable to its beneficiaries, to the Charity Commission and the general public.
