As many of us experience Christmas without our loved ones, we only know how important someone’s last Christmas is.

Did you know that a dedication of £21.78 could enable our team to provide an hour’s care for a patient at our hospice, helping them feel comfortable this Christmas.

Therefore, in donating to Light up a Life, you'll help our amazing team be there for people at the end of their lives this Christmas and ensure no one is left alone when they need our care the most. Along with offering specialist care to our patients, we are dedicated to helping patient’s friends and families create special moments in the coming days and be there for them in the months to come with our bereavement services.

Light up a Life is going to shine a little brighter this year as the community of Teesside comes together. We will provide a bright light dedicated to your loved ones, placed on our outdoor Christmas Tree, which will illuminate the grounds of our hospice throughout Christmas.

Not only can you make a dedication to a loved one, you can also be part of the campaign by visiting our 8ft Light up a Life Community Trees in; the Hillstreet Centre, Middlesbrough, the Parkway Centre, Coulby Newham and Teesside Crematorium, Acklam. Each year, a constellation of stars with dedications of our loved ones twinkle brightly in the heart of our communities.

What you'll get for making a voluntary donation to Light up a Life this year:

• An invitation to our Light up a Life service in December - Those who dedicate a light in remembrance of a loved one, are welcome to attend our Light up a Life Service for free. Taking place at Teesside Hospice (Northgate Road Middlesbrough) on Sunday 15th of December 2024 at 4 pm. 
• Your loved one’s name will feature in our Christmas Light up a Life Book of Memories located in our Reflection Room at Teesside Hospice. This will also be accessible on the night of our Light up a Life Service.
• To make a donation in memory of your loved one, please click the 'Sign Up' button and fill out your details and amount you'd like to voluntary donate.
• Remember, if you're eligble for Gift Aid, your donation will increase by 25% at no extra cost to you. You can also donate by telephone on 01642 811145 or online at www.teessidehospice.org.
