We understand that one to one counselling sometimes isn’t right for everyone, so Teesside Hospice have recently paired up with Ageing Better Middlesbrough to set up a Bereavement Café. Taking place the first Tuesday of every month, in the hospice coffee shop, the Bereavement Café offers a relaxed space in which people can come together with others who understand what they are going through because of a shared experience of loss.
The café is open to anyone who has had a bereavement, with no pressure to talk unless you feel like it. Staff from both Teesside Hospice and Ageing Better Middlesbrough are on hand at each session to offer support, advice and information.
Grief can sometimes feel like a lonely place, we want to encourage people to come together to find courage and strength in knowing they are not alone.
Bereavement Café takes place the first Tuesday of every month, 2:30pm – 4:30pm at Teesside Hospice Coffee Shop, 1 Northgate Road, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough TS5 5NW. Please come along, we would love to meet you. For Further information contact 01642 811063.
