As we reach the middle of Hospice Care Week, Lisa, Outreach Nurse Practitioner wanted to explain what specialist palliative care is, and the importance of hospice care.

Specialist Palliative Care is for patient's with complex matters, and need help with managing their symptoms. This is why the hospice is needed.

we're not just here for cancer patient's, we're here for anybody with a terminal illness who needs our support.

we make sure people live the best life they can.

"Without the hospice, patient's really would struggle. I don't know where they would get the same sort of support."

We want to make sure nobody dies scared, in pain or alone. That's why we're here. We care about what matters to you.

People that need the hospice are totally in control, and we will listen and support them however the best possible way for them personally. you can do it your way.

Below, Lisa speaks more about why we need specialist palliative care and the importance of the hospice within the community.
